Outcome

Shipped Cinematic Galaxy enhancement on /events that adds a top-anchored “SURFACED CANDIDATES” row (5–7 max) with why-surfaced tags, while keeping scan math/APIs/data joins unchanged.

What changed (UI only)

• Added a dedicated SURFACED CANDIDATES section above the main board:
  • Shows top 5–7 passing candidates.
  • Includes a conviction badge (HIGH / STRONG / WATCHLIST).
  • Includes compact “why surfaced” tags (e.g., EDGE tier, MI tier, STEAM, books aligned, true gap, sharp-led, acceleration).
  • One-tap View Intel CTA (preserves existing Intel payload flow via sessionStorage).
• Unified Slate window toggles (Today / Next 24h / Tomorrow) to the Galaxy pill system (gx-pill) for visual consistency.

Notes / Follow-ups

• If you want “Surfaced” to also appear in Live mode, we can add a parallel surfaced strip based on liveLaneRows (keeping NBA-only/Q1-H1 constraints).
• We can optionally add a single “why surfaced” tooltip per card (hover/tap) to show the full tag set without increasing visual noise.
